Having copious experience engineering in a variety of environments, Shan Zhi has developed his skills as both a live sound engineer and as a studio recording engineer.
Ever honing his skills across a wide range of musical contexts, Shan Zhi endeavors to lend his experience in studio recording, mix engineering and live sound engineering to whatever is required.
Production & Songwriting
ShanZhi boasts a range of DAW's in his repertoire, namely using Ableton and ProTools extensively.
ShanZhi rapidly built his skills in songwriting, sound design and mixing to develop musical ideas across many different genres and styles, from 80's Synthwave to Nu-Jazz, and currently exploring many Experimental genres.
Exploring any and all styles of music has allowed ShanZhi to be able to tackle any musical challenge.
Musicianship
Learning musical instruments and theory from an early age, ShanZhi started on the piano, and moved into playing trombone.
Currently an experienced classical and jazz trombonist, his understanding of contemporary rhythm and harmony translate into his work in producing music and collaborating with recording and performing artists.
Sound FOR film and tv
Taught by industry experienced educators, ShanZhi has worked no short amount of a wide range of post-production activities within film sound, animations, and even within game engines.
Developing skills within foley, music scoring and composition, ADR and much more, ShanZhi is adaptable and open to working within any environment.
